When our hearts are hurting we want to be sure that our approach is very simple, sincere, sweet and slow. We can get very complex with our practices and forget to make gentle reassuring contact with ourselves.

The heart longs for the sweetness and sincerity of kind words, sensitive touch and merciful presence. There is simplicity and great healing power in meeting ourselves this way. The heart opens to the most simple and sincere attention.

And please slow down my friend. The only way it is possible to fully meet the pain that arises is to slow way down to where it lives in you. When heartache calls to you through tension, pain or an ache in the body if you slow way down you can meet that pain with your own sweet presence.

This is how we communicate, “I’m here for you” to our own heartaches. When presence meets pain there is something magical and transformative that happens.

“Peace is this moment without judgment,
this moment in the Heart-space where
everything that is is welcome.”
