Trauma creates a disconnect between the mind and body. It became safer to be in our narrative about life than our actual present moment experience. The more disconnected we are from the body the more the body sends out signals of distress. This is a loop of disconnect that so many of us are caught in. We long to be present, home in our bodies, but it’s difficult to bridge that gap. I find that gentle and soothing self touch is a lovely and safe resource for bridging that gap.
“Candace embodies gentleness, warmth and sincerity that invites settling and deep rest. The nurturing slowness and softness of her voice communicates, “it’s safe here. Her particular focus on the role of the nervous system in healing trauma and spiritual awakening allows her students to meet the past slowly and safely as it arises in the unconditional body of right now.”
Candace will talk about “the gap” created by trauma and guide the group in a gentle self touch practice practice and engage in dialogue and questions with participants.
“Thank you for guiding us. Your guidance is like a lantern in the dark woods.
I am so grateful that even though you play the role of a teacher you are always a person first. I love and appreciate that about you! ~ Participant
I look forward to welcoming you into this safe and compassionate space.
